Multi-Sensors Fault Diagnosis and Fault-Tolerant Control of IPMSM Drive System for Electric Vehicle

  In an electric vehicle drive control system,speed,current and voltage sensor faults will affect the control performance and reliability.Aiming at these three type sensors fault,this paper presents a multi-sensors fault detection algorithm and fault-tolerant control strategy based on an EKF and a Luenberger state observer.With the proposed algorithm,the drive system is capable of diagnosing these sensor faults immediately and accurately,and reconfiguring the system state by utilizing the rest redundant information,then,an uninterrupted fault-tolerant control is realized effectively.Finally,the control performance and reliability performance of drive system for electric vehicle are enhanced.Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of both the fault detection algorithm and the reconfigurable control strategy.
