2003年4月底,通用电气(GE)公司就收购Crompton公司的OSi专用品部达成协议。这笔交易还有待管理部门批准,估计2003年第三季度可完成。交易金额约为9.10亿～10.5亿美元。OSi专用化学品拥有领先的硅烷和专用有机硅技术,是全球功能有机硅的主要供应者。目前,GE还没有这种产品供应,GE收购OSi专用品部每年可增加销售额约12亿美元,年增收入约4.57亿美元。
At the end of April 2003, General Electric (GE) reached an agreement to acquire OSi Specialty Products from Crompton. The deal is yet to be approved by regulatory agencies and is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2003. The transaction amount is about 910 million ~ 1.05 billion US dollars. OSi Specialty Chemicals, a leading supplier of silanes and specialty silicones, is a leading supplier of functional silicones worldwide. At present, GE does not yet have this kind of product supply, and GE’s acquisition of the OSi Specialty Products Division can increase annual sales by about 1.2 billion U.S. dollars and annual revenue by about 457 million U.S. dollars.
