明朝万历年间展开的以汤显祖为首的临川派与以沈璟为首的吴江派之争即“汤沈之争”是戏曲研究的一个热门的话题,自明中叶至建国后一直引起人们的关注和讨论。这场争论对戏曲创作的影响是深远而巨大的,本文从论争双方关系、背景、起因、分歧、实质、影响及评价等七个方面进行梳理与归纳,对建国以来“汤沈之争”的研究进行回顾与反思。
